What is 2FA?
Two-factor authentication, also known as 2FA, is a type of security system that provides an extra layer of protection when you access an online account. As the name suggests, it requires two factors—two different types of information—before allowing a user into their account.
What is it used for?
2FA is used to make sure that anyone trying to gain access to an online account is who they say they are. First, a user will enter their username and password. Then, instead of immediately gaining access, they will be required to provide another piece of information. In our case, a code is sent to you via email, and you must input the correct code in order to proceed.
Do I need 2FA?
We highly suggest that you enable 2FA in your account today. With two-factor authentication enabled, you can rest easy knowing your account is protected. Even in the remote case that someone finds or guesses your password, they will not be able to access your account. You will spend less time worrying about your security, and more time enjoying your bets.
What will it look like?
Your usual process will not change too much once you enable 2FA. You will input your username and password, and click on Log In.
Then, a 6-digit code will be sent to your email registered on file. Once the code is verified, you will be allowed into your account!
