To ensure the security of all our players, there are certain rules to be followed while playing in our Poker rooms. You will find them here.
Fair Play Policy
At real money tables, and in all poker tournaments or events, fair and ethical Poker Play is expected and required of all our players. Any player/s found not adhering to the stated or unstated rules of play or conducting play in an unethical manner, will have their account closed, their funds confiscated and won’t be allowed to join BetOnline in the future.
Collusion
Collusion is a situation where two or more players attempt to earn an unfair advantage by sharing knowledge of their cards or other information at the poker table (both in client and externally). Collusion will not be tolerated at BetOnline Any player who gains, or attempt to gain an advantage, by colluding, or by any other methods, will face a permanent ban from BetOnline If we determine that such activity is occurring, or there is an attempt at such activity, regardless of the outcome of such attempt, the accounts involved - at our sole discretion - will be permanently closed and all account balances (including both deposits and any winnings) shall be forfeited.
Collusion includes, without limitation: sharing information about their cards, chip dumping, discussing a hand during play, multiple players using a single account, use of a proxy, soft playing, chip transferring, squeezing, stack balancing and advising/agreeing to take specific actions with other players.
We employ various strategies and procedures of both a manual and automated nature to rigorously exam and detect such behavior. Constant monitoring takes place to limit the behavior. In addition to this, we thoroughly investigate all player complaints to rule out any form of cheating or collusion.
If you suspect that other players may be acting in collusion, please email [email protected]. No player shall have the right to require us to take any steps against players suspected of collusion, cheating or any other form of fraud. We will not provide information with regards to investigations conducted or any subsequent outcome.
Chip Dumping
Chip dumping is the act of purposely losing hands to specific players, with the intent to swop chips on cash tables/tournament tables/SNGs. All players involved in chip dumping will have their funds confiscated and their accounts closed and banned from playing on the network.
Multiple Accounts
Creating multiple accounts on the BetOnline poker network is strictly prohibited. In addition, creating new accounts to take advantage of bonus` being offered is also strictly prohibited. Should players be detected to have multiple accounts, new accounts will be closed and the balance may be confiscated.
Permitted Software
You may not use any tools or software other than the following types of tools and services that are generally acceptable:
Tools and services that provide you with basic game statistics and information that could be useful to beginners, such as an odds calculator.
Tools and services that provide basic-level advice about the game, such as a single table-based starting hand chart.
Tools that improve your experience without influencing the game itself or providing any advice (for example enhanced display, keyboard shortcuts and improved visibility), but you cannot use these tools or utilities to create an auto folder that folds poor starting hands, or that automates advice or actions from any other tool or service.
Tracking tools that create records of your play and display in-game playing statistics (i.e through a HUD), but make use of only information that you have accumulated through your own play. This includes popular tracking software such as Hand2Note, PokerTracker and Hold’em Manager. Building hand databases by using third party data mining services is strictly prohibited.
Prohibited Software
It is strictly prohibited to make use of any software, artificial intelligence or tools, in conjunction with our poker software, in order to gain an unfair advantage over other players. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of “robots” (also referred to as “bots”) and/or non-software based systems such as subscription services or websites. Any actions taken in our poker room must be executed by the player personally, via our poker software, without the assistance of any other software, artificial intelligence or other tools not pertinently specified above in permitted software.
You agree that the poker room can take any steps necessary in order to detect and/or prevent the use of software, artificial intelligence or other tools. We reserve the right to close any account/s and/or confiscate funds from accounts found to use any software, artificial intelligence or any other tools, as stated.
Prohibited software includes, but is not limited to:
Bots
Real-time solvers
Seating scripts
If you are unsure whether specific software is permitted, you should email [email protected] for clarification before using.
Deal Making
Deal making is permitted only on the final table when the deal making feature is active. Deal making including, staking, swaps, profit-sharing, or any kind of bankroll sharing agreement with another player during tournaments and/or SNGs is not permitted. Players caught deal making will have the tournament/SNG winnings removed and their buy-in/rebuy/add-ons will NOT be refunded, and the guilty players will have their accounts suspended and/or permanently closed.
Disconnection Policy
While each user is responsible for his or her own Internet connection, all players must accept the risk of disconnection. Disconnections can, and do, occur. If you are disconnected, and therefore unable to act on your hand, while having chips invested in the pot in a ring game, you will be given 30 additional seconds to reconnect. If you successfully reconnect within this timeframe, the table you were playing in will reappear automatically (if it isn’t already open). However, if you do not reconnect during this time, in the event that you have not made a bet when it is your turn to make one, our system will automatically “check” you; or (ii) if another player has placed a bet and you are required to make a “call”, your hand will “fold”, regardless of your investment in the pot or the strength of your hand.
We will not accept any responsibility for losses caused by disconnections.
Grimming
The abuse of sitting and playing a short session at a short-handed cash table and having received favorable blinds/button position, then leaving the table after that session, will not be tolerated. BetOnline reserves the right, in addition to other measures, to block access to games/features to such players’ account for a period of time or terminating such players’ account, in its sole discretion.
Table Blocking
Players may not, at any time, sit out at the poker tables with the intention of not playing or to prevent others from playing. The act of blocking tables is strictly forbidden.
Abusive or Offensive Language
English is the only language that BetOnline permits players to speak on the live casino tables. BetOnline reserves the right to disable chat privileges of the player either temporarily or permanently in our sole and absolute discretion. Abusive or offensive language in the chat areas or with BetOnline's staff is contrary to our rules.

Users are required to email our Player Services Team, and are responsible to provide the necessary information. Information such as; Player account number, tournament name, SnG name and number, buy in amount and timeframe. The relevant team to review tournaments and hands played, review prior and during a server crash will be conducted to determine whether or not a refund will be issued. Only eligible claims will be refunded. Valid claims will be refunded in form of cash for all rebuys and add on and tournament ticket will be issued for buy in.
Rake
No rake is taken before the flop in Hold’em and Omaha and no rake will be taken from uncalled pots.
Rake is only taken from money that has been matched by at least one player in the pot i.e. if one player raises $60 and another makes an all-in call with $20, rake will only be taken from the $40 that is matched by both players.
The “Rake” is the percentage of the pot that goes to the house. BetOnline uses a fixed schedule for its rake, based on the table limit and number of seats.
If everyone folds to a single raise pre-flop, no rake is collected. All pots that see a flop are raked.

Multi-Table Tournaments
Multi-Table tournaments are tournaments with more than 10 players and multiple tables running concurrently. Tables merge as more players are eliminated. This continues to happen until only 1 table remains, and ultimately finishes when 1 player holds all of the chips.
Each player begins the tournament with the exact same amount of chips. There are both Limit and No Limit Hold’em Multi-Table tournaments. When one player has all of the chips, the prizes are awarded according to the prize payout for that particular tournament.
Rules:
Any player is eligible to enter into a Multi-Table tournament, providing they are able to pay the buy-in.
All Multi-Table tournaments are played until 1 player has all of the chips.
The button determines which players begin posting blinds in the tournament.
BetOnline does not permit soft play. Each player should play with the same intensity against all other players.
There will be 5-minute breaks every hour, all Poker tournaments continue until one player holds all the chips.
When a player loses all their chips, they are out of the tournament and finish in the order in which they were eliminated. Example: In a 210-player tournament if you are the third player eliminated, you rank at 208th place in the tournament.
If more than one player is eliminated in a hand, the player with the most chips before the hand started finishes with a higher ranking. In the case where both players also have the same amount of chips before the hand, both players will tie for the position. If there is a tie between two or more players, the prizes they qualify for are split evenly between all tied players. For example, if two players tie for 2nd place, each player receives 50% of the second place prize and 50% of the third place prize.
Deal Making – This includes, staking, swaps, profit-sharing, or any kind of bankroll sharing agreement with another player during tournaments and/or SNGs. Players caught deal making will have the tournament/SNG winnings removed and their buy-in/rebuy/add-ons will NOT be refunded, and the guilty players will have their accounts suspended and/or permanently closed. These rules only apply if the tournament/SNG does NOT offer deal making. Poker tournaments continue until there is one declared winner and the payoffs will be exactly according to the prize payout structure.
All players will play with all their chips until either they lose all their chips or win the tournament. However, please note that we allow players to re-buy when they go out of the tourney as long as the tourney has a re-buy structure.
During play in any of the poker tournaments, if a player loses their connection and does not re-connect or does not act, their hands are automatically folded and their blinds are posted automatically when it is their turn until they return. Eventually the player is “blinded out” if they do not re-connect back to the poker tournaments table.
Players must understand and accept the risk of internet disconnections, as they can and do occur. If a player is not connected before a hand starts, they will be dealt cards and then folded automatically. If they are required to post a blind and are not connected, blinds will continue to be posted on their behalf and their hand folded. Again, this continues until the player is fully connected and back in the poker tournaments or until the player is out of the tournament.
In case of a server problem, all poker tournaments in play during the problem are deemed as cancelled. Once the server re-starts, we will refund the full Buy-In or the last rebuy of each poker player that was still in the tournament at the time. To receive a refund of your Buy- in, please contact our Player Services Team with your account number and the tournament number. Players still in the tournament at the time of disconnection will be eligible for a portion of the prize pool. This payout is based on the player’s proportion of chips compared to all other remaining players. This resolution treats all players fairly. If a player was eliminated from any of the poker tournaments before the server problem, they are considered “out of the tournament” and do not receive an entry fee refund or any portion of the prize pool.
In case of disputes, BetOnline’s management decision will be final.
Sit N Go Tournaments
A Sit n Go tournament is one with 2-18 players that starts immediately after the required number of players for that particular tournament is satisfied.
Each player begins the tournament with the exact same amount of chips. There are both Limit and No Limit Hold’em Sit n Go tournaments. Play continues until one player has all of the chips. When this occurs, the prizes are awarded according to the prize payout for that particular tournament.
Rules:
Any player is eligible to enter into a Sit n Go tournament, providing they are able to pay the buy-in.
All Sit n Go tournaments are played until 1 player has all of the chips.
All Sit n Go tables will begin 30 seconds after the final person has registered.
The button determines which players begin posting blinds in the tournament.
BetOnline does not permit soft play. Each player should play with the same intensity against all other players.
There will be no breaks, all Poker tournaments continue until one player holds all the chips.
When a player loses all their chips they are out of the tournament and finish in the order they were eliminated. Example: In a 10-player tournament if you are the third player eliminated, you are declared as finishing in 8th place.
If more than one player is eliminated in the same hand, the player with the most chips before the hand started finishes higher.
