Staying safe in the AI era

Scammers now use AI to make fake messages, websites, and even voices look real. Here’s how to spot them and keep your account and balance safe.

How to Spot a Scam

  • Urgency or threats: “act now”, “your account will be closed”, “last chance”.

  • Too good to be true: surprise bonuses, refunds, or prizes you need to “claim”.

  • Requests for your password or a code: we will never ask.

  • Links to sign in: in texts, emails, social media, or messaging apps. Always sign in directly.

  • Unofficial contacts: “agents” or “hosts” on personal accounts or numbers you don’t recognize.

  • Real-sounding voices or videos asking you to move money or share details.

  • Lookalike websites: check the address bar for betonline.ag before signing in.

How to Protect Your Account

  • Use a unique password for BetOnline.

  • Switch to a passkey. For more details on enabling your passkey, you may refer to our article How to login with Passkeys

  • Never share your password or sign-in codes.

  • Keep your email and phone up to date.

  • Read our security alerts and act on anything you don’t recognize.

  • Turn on 2FA. For more details on enabling 2-Factor Authentication, you may refer to our article How To Enable 2-Factor Authentication (2FA)

What We’ll Never Do

  • Ask for your password or sign-in code.

  • Ask you to move money to “protect” it.

  • Contact you from a personal account or unofficial number.

  • Send you a link to sign in that you didn’t ask for.
